Programs on offer
Confidence & Connection is a structured wellbeing and social development program delivered by Toowoomba Disability Services. The program is designed to support NDIS participants in building the skills, confidence, and personal presentation required to engage meaningfully in social settings.
Through a strengths-based approach, participants are supported to explore and express their identity — including how they dress, present, and carry themselves — in ways that foster self-esteem and social confidence. The program includes targeted support for individuals who experience sensitivity to social engagement due to mental health conditions, trauma, or previous negative experiences.
Participants are guided to develop practical tools for navigating social situations, while receiving assistance in areas such as hygiene, grooming, clothing selection, and personal style. The program promotes autonomy, dignity, and wellbeing, and is delivered in alignment with NDIS goals and funding.
Confidence & Connection is underpinned by trauma-informed practice, person-centred planning, and the NDIS Practice Standards, ensuring safe, respectful, and empowering support for every participant.
Sport & Social Club
Sport & Social Club is a weekly community wellbeing program delivered by Toowoomba Disability Services, designed to promote physical activity, social inclusion, and confidence-building for NDIS participants across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
Held every Sunday from 1pm to 5pm, the program includes:
🏉 1pm – 4pm: Inclusive Community Sports
Participants can enjoy a rotating mix of local favourites, including:
• Soccer
• Touch football
• Cricket
• Plus other accessible, team‑based activities
All sessions are designed to support skill development, teamwork, coordination, and positive social engagement in a safe, supportive environment.
🔥 4pm – 5pm: TDS Sausage Sizzle
After an active afternoon, everyone comes together for the TDS Sausage Sizzle — a relaxed BBQ where participants, families, and staff can connect, unwind, and build friendships.
Sport & Social Club supports participants to develop confidence, communication skills, and healthy routines through structured physical activity and community connection. The program is open to all ability levels and delivered in alignment with NDIS goals and best‑practice standards.
